Creation of a new data platform (dwh) on Microsoft Azure from scratch.
Description of activities
Technical architecture, implementation and maintenance of data infrastructure in Azure.
Design of DWH layers. Technology selection for ETL and definition of procedures for data processing with prototype implementation.
Coordination of team tasks. Training of other data engineers with new technologies and development methods.

Core data layer creation. Creating a historization process (SCD2) partly in Azure Databricks (scala) and partly in Azure SQL Database (t-sql) with orchestration in Azure Data Factory.

Data export for client authentication system. Data extraction from ADLS stage (parquet files). Transformation in Azure Databricks (scala) and subsequent data export to XML file (also in ADB).
Client portal
Creating a datamart for the client portal. Developing the data model and SQL structures. Building data transformations for populating the datamart. Orchestrating data population based on the availability of source data. Integrating prepared data with the client portal interface (using Azure Function, VNet, subscription peering, firewall, etc.).
Data path patterns
Creating developer patterns for basic data operations within a data warehouse.
Defining a unified approach for:
- sourcing data (using Azure Data Factory)
- snapshot-based historization within ADLS
- SCD2 historization as part of populating the core unified model (historization of full extracts, deltas, and ad-hoc data) (using Azure Databricks and Azure SQL Database)
- data transformation methodology for populating datamarts (using Azure Databricks)
- defining of process how to create PWBI reports and basic user management (using Power BI Desktop/Online)
